About my work

My work is a constant exploration in which finding new meaning for the elements occurs naturally, always leaving the audience with a very personal truth which is adjacent to mine; and so the work is defined in their own way. I start from an aesthetic symbiosis between elements that seems to come out of nowhere, but bears an essential load, a deliberate concept that  becomes my photography.

In my work, minimalism is the starting point. On the other hand, black humor, sarcasm, innuendoes, and the transformation of images, shape my artwork through a synergy-producing melting pot that opens the door for meaning after meaning.

Object intervention based on food and support elements make up my current work, where the search for different meanings is self-made: a game of ideas and contrasts that creates an oxymoron; the meanings subscribed in the social imaginary become intoxicated, and are then transformed into new fragments of language, of a personal and solitary language that says everything in a fresh and simple fashion, because in the end, objects and things will never have another meaning beyond the one that we give them. That is where the importance of my work lies: in the essence of each person.

That is why my work is complemented with the public’s view as the final brushstroke: that personal and radical glance that defines and complements in away that renders the concept concrete and makes the elements multifaceted.

A cerca de mi trabajo:

Es una constante exploración, en la que la re-significación de los elementos se da de una manera natural, dejando siempre al espectador ante una verdad muy personal y adyacente a la mía, en la cual, él define la obra a su manera. Parto de una simbiosis estética y formal entre elementos cotidianos, con un deliberado concepto que da como resultado mi fotografía.

En mi obra el minimalismo es el punto de partida; junto al humor negro, el sarcasmo, el doble sentido y la transformación de imágenes, pretendo dar forma a una sinergia que se abre como base para la re-significación.

La intervención objetual basada en la comida y elementos cotidianos componen mi obra actual, en donde siempre se busca la re-significación por sí sola; un juego de ideas y contrastes que crea un oxímoron; los significados suscritos en el imaginario colectivo se intoxican y se transforman en nuevos fragmentos del lenguaje, de un lenguaje personal y solitario que lo dice todo de una manera fresca y sencilla, porque al final, los objetos y las cosas nunca van a tener otro significado más allá del que les damos, y ahí radica la importancia de mi trabajo: en la esencia de cada persona.

Por eso mi obra se compacta con ese punto de vista del espectador, esa mirada personal y radical que la define y que la complementa, de tal manera, que el concepto se concreta,y los elementos se re-significan.
